I can see my house…

someone on userfriendly.org posted that they could see their house from space at this website.

I checked it out, and I can see my house. there were two versions; one from 70-something, and another from 1995. I was a little sad that I couldn’t zoom in anymore, though. If I go a little to the left, I can see the elementary school I attended.

I wanted to find something bigger I knew to look at, so I looked for my church… unfortunately I don’t know the street address, and had trouble finding it just with the street name. So I found Disneyland. It was a ‘95 photo, and the first view was pretty far away, but I could recognize it right away. I was able to recognize the Hub, the river, space mountain, the carousel, and even backstage landmarks like main issue cast costuming.

This is 1995 so we’re… post-splash mountain… post-toontown… I think pre- Indiana Jones, and pre-new tomorrowland.
basically we’re talking late disney afternoon Disneyland. Easily recognized are The Hub, The River, the carousel for Fantasyland, and main street. and my personal favorite, Space Mountain.

My uncle returned from Japan. I recieved a beautiful pink fan. It smells nice too. In honor of my fan, I decided to look up some Fan language. I learned some of it for a play once.

Okay, so as mentioned in a previous post, my boyfriend and I are going to celebrate our 1 year anniversary on Saturday. It is actually the next week, but that is when E3 is. And that is something that Jerrod has to be at for work.
So I have these hints for what my gift might be. I am a really good guesser when it comes to this, but this is a doozy. I even tried googling for answers.

I don’t mind if it’s my boyfriend; he calls in the morning before he goes to work. but if it’s my dad or something… like he always thinks that at 9am “half the morning is gone.” like he wakes up at the crack of dawn…

okay, so I’m glad that my blog is back to being updated. My uncle is in Japan on business, and I was spending the night with his daughter to take her to school and whatnot, and last night I wanted to blog and totally got errors. Very upsetting. But I fixed them, and now I’m back in… blogness. haha.
I haven’t blogged for the last couple of days, partly because I’ve been learning php. I even wrote my first PHP script; Pretty Comments.
It is my 1 year anniversary with my boyfriend. For his gift, I got him captainjerrod.com for his blogging. Won’t that be cute? He loves pirates.

I noticed this late last night. When I first saw it I was like… “what?” I know that Google decorates the logo for holidays and the like, but, what was it fish day? I hovered it and read the words “earth day”. Oh, so it’s earth day. I didn’t know that. Thank you, google, for keeping me informed.
Last night’s Smallville episode was completely great! I love Chloe so much, and she was pretty much the center of the whole episode. And the jokes were so good. *sigh* This was one of the best episodes of Season 3.

There’s actually a good Wednesday Whatevers today.
1. What era would you have liked to live in? I think I would have liked to live in either post-war 1940’s-50’s or some really long time ago, like Shakespearean era England.
2. Why does history repeat itself? because we are human. No matter how much we think we have advanced, or how much better we think it was “back then”, people are people. You’d think that we would learn some things, like never go through russia in the winter, but even that doesn’t always sink in.
3. Why did you choose the email username that you did? I’m not too interesting on this front. it’s my first name.

Okay, so I finally took a good look at the comments thing on here, and I decided that it didn’t look too nice, so I edited the template, and I think it’s much more pretty and easier to use now.
new, Chloe-centric Smallville episode tonight! I’m very excited about that seeing as Chloe wasn’t even in last week’s episode at all! Also a new episode of The O.C. but as aforementioned, I’ve already seen it.

I think Monday Madness is my favorite meme. I, like, never miss it. okay, I’m so excited. The new O.C. episode is coming on tonight on ctv and I can’t wait to download it. I got my sister Amy addicted to it last week. She watched the new episode with me wednesday night, and she loved it, so then we had a marathon the next day, and stayed up all night watching every episode. We even developed a special theme song dance. It was totally great.

On Sunday I went to the new 20s group that started this week at the church. it was pretty neat. I’m going to the Bible study tonight and we’re going to have alot of hanging out on Friday nights which will be good as well.

Onesome: Insomnia– Ever have it? Some do and some don’t, but have you ever been hounded awake for that endless hour after hour with no hope of sleep? …or does the very act of touching head to pillow put you out for the count?I don’t really have insomnia. I usually sleep fine. If I can’t sleep it’s usually because I’m thinking too much.

Twosome: the cure– Hey, if you do have the occasional bout or chronic insomnia, what do you do about it? Work? Read? Try cures? Hmmm… Did you ever find one that worked? If I can’t sleep, sometimes I will lie down and read and that usually works pretty well. It takes my mind off whatever, and calms me down.

Threesome: for sleep– Female/male, young/not so young, we all need varying amounts of sleep. What’s your personal sleep cycle? Five hours? Ten hours? …and if you had a choice, what would be your personal sleep cycle? …and yes, “All day long” is a valid answer I’m pretty flexible here. I’m not a very good early riser, but then I’m not an early to bedder either, so I guess I’d say I like 7-10 hours.
